Queenstown, New Zealand: Thousands of Harley-Davidson®
riders from across New Zealand are readying themselves for one of biggest
motorcycle events on the calendar as the 2015 Iron Run converges on Queenstown
from 20 – 21 March.
Marking
25 years of the Harley Owners Group (HOG®) in New Zealand, throngs of
Harley-Davidson enthusiasts are riding in unison from Auckland, Hamilton,
Palmerston North, Wellington, Christchurch and Dunedin – winding through the
country’s famous rolling mountains – before the convening in Queenstown this
weekend.
Adam
Wright, Director of Marketing for Harley-Davidson Australia & New Zealand expects
the event to be one of the biggest two wheeled gatherings of the year,
commenting:
“The
2015 Iron Run is going to be one awesome party. We’ve got riders and
enthusiasts coming from all over New Zealand, Australia and even further afield
to be part of this event which celebrates everything we love about motorcycles.
“Queenstown
is one of the world’s most iconic tourist destinations, with some of the
greatest roads found anywhere. We’re very excited to be visiting this motorcycling
paradise and share our passion for riding bikes with the local Queenstown
community. We’re encouraging the public to come out in force because this is
going to be a one of a kind spectacle.”
The
2015 Iron Run features the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Show, music and live
entertainment, interactive displays, guided rides and other activities. The
event will culminate with more than two thousand motorcycles riding together through
the streets of Queenstown in a unique display for the public.
