New Mazda BT-50 has arrived featuring a refreshed front and rear
end design, a new infotainment system, reverse camera and further
inclusions that are expected to make Mazda's tough utility even
more attractive to buyers.
The straightening of the front grille, the re-design of the
front and rear lights and stylish new 16 and 17 inch alloys, makes
the New Mazda BT-50 more aggressive the ever before.
A new centre console infotainment display makes its debut on New
Mazda BT-50, and is standard on the XTR and GT models with a 7.8
inch high definition screen that includes Sat Nav. HEMA maps are
also available as an original equipment manufacturer exclusive
factory option.
In addition, reverse camera is standard equipment on XTR and GT
models and as an option on all other grades.
XTR models have a range of new additions, now coming with
tubular side steps, auto dimming mirrors, rain sensing wipers and
auto on/off headlamps, while the GT also gets heated exterior
mirrors that fold and include embedded indicators, and privacy
glass.
The entry grade also enjoys new features, with a height and
lumber adjustor available on the XT with bucket seat, and a
lockable glove compartment is introduced on models with the bench
seat. Utility models get a tailgate lock, while the XT Dual Cab
utility now drives on 16-inch dark-finish alloy wheels.
Since its arrival in 2011, 50,000 current generation BT-50s have
been sold, with Single Cab, Freestyle Cab and Dual Cab accounting
for 25 per cent, 15 per cent and 60 per cent of sales
respectively.
The upgrades add value to the range with prices increasing by
between $40 and $810 depending on the model.
XT is the most popular grade making up 55 per cent of sales,
while XTR enjoys 35 per cent and GT 10 per cent. The majority of
Mazda Ute buyers prefer 4x4 with 6-speed auto transmission.
There are 23 New BT-50 variants available, including 10 with 4x2
and 13 with 4x4 capabilities; two diesel engine types, the MZ-CD
2.2 litre 4-cylinder and a MZ-CD 3.2 litre 5-cylinder, and a choice
of either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
With seven contemporary colours to choose from including Cool
White, Aluminium Metallic and the new to BT-50 Titanium Flash,
there is something to suit all buyers.
New BT-50 is on sale now.
